Michael Huebner currently serves as Associate Director of Bands at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, a position he has held since 2009. His duties in this role include providing assistance with the instruction of three concert ensembles, marching band, jazz band, and musical pit orchestra. Prior to his time with the Cobb County School District, Michael taught middle school and high school music in Ohio, where his ensembles received superior ratings in multiple competitions and festivals.

While completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Miami University, Michael excelled as a student, making the Dean’s List every semester before graduating magna cum laude in 2008. During his time as a student, Michael privately studied trumpet, conducting, and composition. He was also active in the Men’s Glee Club and Symphony Orchestra, serving as Assistant Conductor for both ensembles. After aging out, Michael returned to the Drum Corps International field, and currently serves as a member of the Bluecoats Visual Staff.

Additionally, Michael is an active educational clinician presenting at both the local and national level. Michael is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
