KMHS New Member Training & Colorguard Auditions

Monday – Wednesday, May 7-9

5:30-7:30 p.m.

KMHS Band Room

All future KMHS Marching Band members should plan to attend this interactive workshop and training to participate in the 2012 Marching Band. These sessions are open to any incoming freshman or upperclassmen currently attending KMHS.

Ladies and Gentlemen interested in joining the Colorguard should plan to attend the training and auditions for the 2012 fall guard. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to join us. Please click here to fill out the online interest form for Colorguard Auditions.

This meeting is MANDATORY for all families (rising 9th grade and returning members). 

The meeting will be held in the KMHS Band Room, on Thursday, April 19, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting should last approximately an hour.

We would like to invite you and your students to have another performance opportunity this winter. The Kennesaw Mountain Guard will be hosting an exhibition the night BEFORE the WGI Atlanta Regional at Kennesaw Mountain High School. On Friday, March 2nd at 7 p.m., winter guards from Cobb County, SAPA, and out of state groups will be performing for one another, both scholastic and independent. This will be a great time for the students to support one another in a non-competitive environment, no stress, and lots of cheering. There is no fee to participate in the event. Your group can perform in costume or not, however you plan is absolutely fine. The goal is to give the unit another chance to perform and have their peers watch and support.

Our Pre-Festival Concert previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 13th has been moved to Thursday, March 15th.

The concert will feature all three of our concert bands (Concert, Symphonic and Wind), and will be held in the KMHS Theater beginning at 7:00 p.m.
